Project Details

JC Toland Painting completed abrasive blasting and protective coating services for deteriorated gas piping at an energy manufacturing facility in Nebraska. The project focused on corrosion mitigation and long-term asset protection within an active industrial environment where exposed steel is subjected to harsh operating conditions and continuous environmental exposure.

Inspection of the piping system identified areas of coating failure, surface corrosion, and substrate deterioration that required remediation. To restore the affected assets, our team performed mechanical surface preparation through abrasive blasting, removing corrosion, contaminants, and failing coatings while establishing the proper surface profile required for coating adhesion.

Surface preparation is a critical component of any industrial maintenance coating project. By achieving a clean, properly prepared substrate, the facility could maximize coating performance and extend the service life of the piping system. All preparation and coating activities were completed in accordance with industry best practices and applicable AMPP standards.

Following blasting, JC Toland applied a high-performance protective coating system engineered to resist corrosion, environmental exposure, and long-term operational wear. The coating system provides a durable barrier that helps reduce future maintenance requirements while protecting critical infrastructure assets.

This project highlights JC Toland Painting's expertise in industrial surface preparation, abrasive blasting, corrosion control, and protective coatings. By restoring the integrity of the coating system, the facility improved the durability, reliability, and long-term performance of essential gas piping infrastructure.
