Project Details
Welcome to the new Fareway Meat Market Headquarters! Located in Johnston, IA this new office building is home to the corporate officials who oversee the web of grocery stores Fareway operates in the Midwest; and from one Midwest-based company to another, we were there to bring the finishing details to life.JC Toland had a hand in all things ‘applied’ on this job. Starting out with protection and prep, we moved through this new space and painted all ceilings throughout–duct work, exposed deck, sheetrock, and more–all variations got a fresh coat. We then moved through and coated all the hollow-metal doors and frames–using a high-bonding high-performance top coat to ensure durability for years to come. After doors and frames came all the walls–most were painted, but we left a few with a prime-coat only to later return and install owner-provided wall graphics. We then painted all the steel stair stringers and risers, and finished with the handrail/perforated guardrail systems throughout. The final ‘install’ we tackled was the VWC, or ‘vinyl wall covering,’ which can be seen below where you see any photo with text or a graphic design on the walls.
JC Toland is much more than just a painting company. Employing various specialized foreman with varying skillsets allows our clients to make one-stop for all their application needs. On a project like the new Fareway HQ, while we were technically only involved in two trades [painting and wall-coverings], it reduced the General’s coordination efforts by one less vendor and one less contract. On large projects, the fewer hands in the jar, the simpler our GC’s lives can be. Give JC Toland a call today to see how else we can help on your next multi-armed project!
