The new Ashley Furniture Store has finished up in Ames, IA! Starting at the beginning of 2025, and finishing just before the end of 2025, JC Toland made a massive impact on this massive warehouse and show-room that is now opened up to the public. Boasting a foot-print of over 90,000 square feet, this new commercial storefront is now one of the largest in the City of Ames.Our role in this job was significant to say the least. We performed all of the priming and painting throughout, which included 90,000+ sq ft of ceiling deck and coating the 20’ tall walls throughout (and all the offices, restrooms, vestibules, showroom floor accent walls, etc). We performed all the drywall hanging and finishing throughout–installing sheetrock, applying mud, sanding and skimming every seam and screwhole throughout. We built all the walls inside–with the awarded contract for all metal-stud framing throughout the facility. And we were also in charge of setting all grid and installing all acoustic ceiling tiles throughout. Pictured below, you’ll see some of our finish carpenters working through the aesthetic finish touches in the mattress showroom; as well as one of our foreman finishing the ACT in one of the front offices. The decorative hanging framing/drywall sections were all built-out and installed by our team as well.
