Project Details

JC Toland Painting completed exterior restoration and restaining services for the Iowa Lottery building, revitalizing the property's appearance through a comprehensive exterior finish renewal. The project focused on restoring weathered exterior surfaces and enhancing the building's overall curb appeal while providing continued protection against environmental exposure.

Over time, exterior finishes can fade and deteriorate due to sunlight, moisture, seasonal weather changes, and general aging. While these conditions may not affect the structural integrity of a building, they can significantly impact its appearance and perceived condition. The Iowa Lottery project presented an opportunity to restore the property's visual appeal through professional surface preparation and restaining techniques.

Prior to application, exterior surfaces were evaluated and prepared to ensure proper adhesion and long-term finish performance. A new stain system was then applied across the building exterior, restoring color consistency and creating a refreshed, well-maintained appearance.

In addition to improving aesthetics, the restaining process helps protect exterior substrates from continued weather exposure, supporting long-term durability and reducing future maintenance needs. This combination of preservation and appearance enhancement makes exterior staining an effective solution for commercial properties seeking to maintain their image and extend the life of exterior finishes.

The completed project demonstrates how targeted exterior restoration can deliver a substantial visual impact, helping public-facing facilities maintain a professional appearance while protecting valuable building assets. Click here to view Before/In-Progress photos.
