JC Toland painting assisted on the Hotel Maytag project in Newton, Iowa. This historic restoration project was a remodel project. JC Toland's professional commercial painting team played a significant role in this exciting and historic project in Newton, Iowa.

Here is a little more about Hotel Maytag:

  • The 1st floor is a combination of lobby, cameo & dining rooms, businesses and a theatre. All of which have the same historic elements and colors.
  • The 3rd - 5th floors are strictly apartments, the 2nd floor is a combination of apartment buildings.
  • The 2nd floor is a combination of apartment buildings, lobby and ballroom.
  • The lobby and ballroom both have plaster features that were finished with a "Faux" antiqueing technique on the coffers and "picture frame" elements.
  • The North Side & West have historic marquees that were all refinished by either blasting or mechanically abrading and finishing with patina copper and gold.
