Project Details

As Cedar Rapids continues to grow, so does the demand for infrastructure that supports business, tourism, and regional travel. A major example is the new terminal expansion at The Eastern Iowa Airport (EIA), which reflects the airport’s rising role as a key transportation hub for Eastern Iowa and beyond. In 2024, EIA served more than 1.5 million passengers, making the quality and durability of interior finishes an essential part of the traveler experience.

JC Toland Painting was proud to contribute to this large-scale project in Cedar Rapids, IA. Our team provided a wide range of commercial finishing services throughout the new terminal, supporting both public-facing and behind-the-scenes areas. While travelers may not notice every detail, our work is present across much of the interior environment.

Scope included coatings on sheetrock walls and ceilings, exposed metal ceiling decks in stairwells, and specialty finishes on the prominent wood beams featured throughout the atrium and oculus. We also applied high-performance coatings to handrail systems designed for constant daily use, balancing durability with a clean, modern appearance. In addition, our team completed work in offices, restrooms, and staff-only spaces, ensuring consistency across all areas of the facility.

Projects like the EIA terminal highlight the importance of a contractor capable of handling diverse substrates, tight schedules, and detailed specifications. JC Toland Painting brings that experience to every phase of large commercial builds.

For partners seeking a dependable team for airports, institutional facilities, or specialty finish work, JC Toland Painting is ready to deliver quality results.
