Project Details
The Ashley Furniture Store in Ames, Iowa is now complete, and JC Toland Painting is proud to have contributed to one of the city’s largest commercial retail and warehouse developments. Completed in late 2025, the project delivers more than 90,000 square feet of new retail, showroom, and warehouse space serving Ames and surrounding communities.JC Toland Painting served as a commercial contractor on this project, providing both commercial painting services and multiple self-performed construction scopes. Our team’s role included metal stud framing, drywall installation and finishing, acoustical ceiling systems, acoustic wall panels, door frames and hardware, ceramic tile installation, and exterior cold-formed metal framing with sheathing and vapor barrier systems. This multi-trade approach allowed for improved coordination and scheduling across the full interior buildout.
Our painting scope included full priming and finishing throughout the facility, covering over 90,000 square feet of ceiling deck and extensive 20-foot warehouse and showroom walls. Interior work also included offices, restrooms, vestibules, and showroom accent walls, all completed with durable commercial coatings designed for long-term retail performance.
Together, these scopes contributed to a fully finished retail and distribution facility where structural, architectural, and finish elements work together to support both function and customer experience.This project highlights JC Toland Painting’s ability to deliver full-service commercial construction and painting services in Ames, Iowa and throughout the Midwest.
