Project Details
Preserving the character of a historic space while enhancing its durability requires a thoughtful approach to finishes and coatings. At Wilkins Tea Room, JC Toland Painting completed a wide range of interior and exterior painting services designed to protect architectural features, refresh public spaces, and support the long-term performance of the facility. Our scope included painting and coating applications throughout both the interior and exterior of the building, including the restoration and refinishing of wood windows. To protect exposed structural elements, our team applied high-performance coating systems to exterior steel components, helping guard against weathering and corrosion while maintaining the property's appearance.
Inside the facility, epoxy paint systems were installed in restrooms, residential units, and public areas to provide durable, easy-to-maintain surfaces capable of withstanding daily use. Additional work included cleaning, repairing, and repainting handrails to restore their finish and improve overall aesthetics and functionality.
The project also featured painting of existing brick surfaces and the application of custom stains and finishes on woodwork throughout the property. These specialty finishes helped highlight architectural details while complementing the character and design of the space.
By combining restoration, protective coatings, and decorative finishing techniques, JC Toland helped preserve the unique charm of Wilkins Tea Room while enhancing its appearance and longevity for years to come.
