At Barilla, JC Toland Painting provided comprehensive surface preparation and coating services throughout multiple areas of the facility, supporting both the longevity and performance of the structure.The project included painting a variety of substrates and building components, including precast walls and ceilings, CMU walls, gypsum board ceilings, hollow metal doors and frames, concrete curbs, exposed mezzanine steel, fire suppression piping, compressed air lines, and new exterior wall systems. Each surface required careful preparation and coating selection to ensure proper adhesion and long-term durability within an industrial environment.
A key component of the project involved abrasive blasting and surface preparation of existing exterior concrete walls. Our team completed sandblasting in accordance with SSPC-SP 13 standards, creating the appropriate concrete surface profile needed for successful coating application and long-term performance.
