Project Details

The Legacy Newton apartments in Newton, Iowa, involves a variety of interior and exterior painting services and decorative finishes throughout the residential building. JC Toland Painting's scope includes painting walls, ceilings, exposed structural elements, doors, trim, and other architectural features, along with installing vinyl wallcoverings in designated areas.

Our interior painting scope includes gypsum board walls and ceilings, concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, and plaster surfaces throughout the building. Crews are also responsible for painting exposed columns, wood trusses, and structural steel at stairways, helping create a consistent finish across a variety of building materials. Within the individual apartment units, our team is completing detailed painting work on wood doors, frames, casings, baseboards, and window trim. These finishing details play an important role in the overall appearance of each apartment, helping create comfortable and welcoming living spaces for future residents. In addition to traditional painting, JC Toland Painting is installing vinyl wallcoverings in specified areas of the property. Our scope also includes painting hollow metal doors and frames, along with wing walls and wood caps. Exterior work includes preparing, priming, and repainting awnings and their supporting brackets. Proper surface preparation helps improve coating adhesion and provide a refreshed appearance while protecting these components from weather exposure. One of the notable aspects of Legacy Newton is the variety of surfaces and architectural details involved throughout the apartment building. From exposed steel and wood trusses to decorative wallcoverings and detailed trim work, each area requires different preparation methods and finishing techniques to achieve a consistent, high-quality result. JC Toland Painting is proud to contribute to Legacy Newton, helping bring together the interior and exterior finishes that make this apartment community an inviting place for residents to call home.
