Large-scale athletic and parking facilities require durable finishes that can withstand constant traffic, exposure to the elements, and ongoing public use. At the Kinnick Stadium West Ramp, JC Toland Painting provided a range of interior and exterior coating services across the parking structure and connected facility spaces. Our scope included painting of bollards throughout the ramp, as well as specialized Level 5 stencil markings completed using a base coat and contractor-provided stencil system. These markings required precision application to ensure clear visibility and long-term performance in a high-traffic environment.
Additional work included painting CMU walls within storage, telecom, and electrical rooms, along with hollow metal doors and frames throughout interior spaces. JC Toland also completed painting of ceilings and beams near entrance areas, helping maintain a clean, consistent appearance in highly visible public zones.
On the exterior, our team painted concrete columns at the perimeter of the parking structure, as well as interior and exterior steel beams and columns associated with the skywalk connection. Steel bollards were also coated to improve durability and visibility throughout the facility.
By coordinating multiple scopes across structural, functional, and public-facing areas, JC Toland helped maintain the appearance and performance of a critical University of Iowa athletics and parking facility.
